Taxi Valbiska

Valbiska is a ferryboat port in the Šotovento area situated in the west portion of the island of Krk. The name of area comes from the italian words “sotto vento” meaning “below the wind” or “leeward”.

Sounds like a great position for the ferryboat port. Valbiska cove offers a great shelter from the bora and the scirocco – the most common winds in this area. It is the start point for ferry lines to Merag on the island of Cres and Lopar on the island of Rab.

Line Valbiska-Lopar is operated by Linijska nacionalna plovidba d.d. from Split. Mild winds and the orientation to south and west contribute to the lush vegetation in Šotovento.
